I find it annoying that when you are selling items in shops, your equipped items are mixed with the inventory. Especially in Arcade it makes selling 10x slower, because you need to do it very carefully, otherwise you may sell your weapon and destroy the whole run.

I actually suggested to add some "dummy items" with their own id and placeholder icon, which would be replaced automatically when the item is implemented, even in player's inventory. That would be better. Anything would be better than "empty" chests as rewards for sometimes difficult challenges...
The problem with unbreakable shields is that most of the shields would become redundant, because they differ only in shield hp. Maybe shield hp could be reworked. Like, when your shield loses durability, it becomes less effective (e.g. blocking only 30% of damage). Also broken shield delays...
IMO it could be done at least for the ship, but not other areas.
Or this could be done procedurally with some audio post-process effects. Although not sure if it's possible to design an effect that works universally.
Will it work though? The fact that artifacts still exist means that either they can bring back more than one person (so Luke/Charlotte problem doesn't happen, unless you have to e.g. sacrifice someone...) or no one tried it, which means it might not work.
