Updating Piercing Dash

One of the biggest problems with Piercing Dash is that, no matter how well you use it, you're likely to take damage from it. It doesn't strikethrough enemies, you just push against them and put yourself at risk of being hit by them if they aren't hitstunned. Or you just get hit by projectiles on your way to .

This is probably because Piercing Dash is one of the earliest skills in the game. We have Blink now, though, and PD could stand to borrow a bit of code from it.

I think PD would be better if, when you pressed it's button, an X showed up a set distance away from your character in the direction they were facing. North, south, east or west. That's where your dash stops at. It can't be controlled like Blink, but like Blink it can be shortened if there's an obstacle in the way.

When using the skill your hitbox never actually moves from the position you're at when you begin the skill and the target X. You still see the dashing animation, but it's just an animation. You aren't stopped by the enemy, you don't push them back, no projectiles moving through this space actually hit you.

Perhaps leveling up PD is required for piercing through larger enemies or bosses, while lower levels make the X end at the large enemy as if it were an obstacle. You still hit it, but can't pierce them. This would make it useful during boss battles where moving too far could result in taking damage, such as in Winter or with Cursed Priestess. Low level charges of the skill wouldn't make you fly into a blizzard or fans, but dash at and stab the boss.

It's currently one of the least viable skills in the game, particularly in arcade. This seems like it would go a long way in helping with that. Particularly being able to see where you're actually ending up at when you use the skill.
