Yeah, those reports come from people playing on the SteamDeck. I have seen quite a few reports saying that either using ProtonGE (https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom) or Proton 7.0-6 fixes that problem. I would recommend trying Proton 7.0-6 first and see if that helps at all.

Looks like fullscreen to me. I mean that is how boderless windowed mode works, right? (Note: I have two monitors, and setting the game to "window", makes it "fake" fullscreen)

For me it is aliased when using fullscreen mode set to "yes", try setting it to "window". The settings are basically as follows Yes -> Traditional fullscreen No -> Traditional window Window -> Fullscreen window / Borderless window
