Arena Battle Challenge.

I was recently replaying FF7's Golden Saucer arena, where you were put through a series of increasingly challenging fights. Each time you beat a fight, you would get some points and were treated to the roulette wheel. Depending on where it stopped, you were given a positive or a negative result, which impacted your score. When you finished, you could trade the points you earned in for prizes.

Maybe something like this could be added to SoG at the arena, functioning somewhat like arena mode where HP doesn't regenerate and HP orbs don't drop? And a large gold fee is required to enter?

You could have two a few different roulette wheels spinning at the start of each match, to determine what comes through the arena doors.

#1: Area. Ex: Grindea Plains, Halloween Forest, Flying Fortress, etc. The higher the area, the more points it gives.
#2: Challenge level, 1-9. 1 is a single enemy, very few points. 9 is an onslaught of enemies, with a high chance of them being spawned as miniboss enemies.
#3: Status. This is where the true challenge is. Every negative status adds base points or multiplies points, good statuse add no points. A few examples:

Blind - Can't see anything outside of a large bubble around your character for the rest of the arena. More blinds reduce this field of vision further.
Crows - A swarm of crows spawn to harass the arena for the rest of the arena, identical to Pumpking King fight. More crows adds additional crow swarms.
Enraged - All enemies in the next fight are spawned as minibosses.
Lead - Movement speed is reduced. More lead increases the slowdown.
Glass Shield - Shield made fragile for the rest of the arena. Any block that isn't a perfect guard instantly shatters it for the rest of the round.
Magemashed - Max MP is halved. Can stack.
Bullet Hell - Every # seconds, a wave of GUNDAM-style bullets fire inwards from the edge of the arena. Stacks, reducing the cooldown between bullet waves.
Bashed - Max HP is halved. Can stack.
Slippery - Traction when walking is reduced, giving the effect of walking on ice and sliding on stop.
Sticky - Adds 10 slime puddles at random around the arena for the rest of the arena. More Sticky creates 10 more random puddles.
Healed - HP and MP are restored to full.

XD it was somehow annoying in FF7 but i like the idea because it makes fights more different.
If you have a combo of spells which are usually not working well together it could improve them or a combo working badass everywhere could be completly useless :D

Also it would improve the fighting skills and show you how good your skill setup really is (just pointing at Arcade where you have really to know what skillset you would like to have at the beginning. you get a better feeling for that) :D
