I'm not sure if this would be difficult to code in to extend playtime, but Endless Mode at the arena or somewhere seems like it could be fun in a high-score-challenge kind of way. Essentially, every single wave it would add one new enemy or improve an existing enemy, or both. Example:

Lap 1
Wave 1: Slime
2: Elite Slime+Rabby
3: Elite Slime+Elite Rabby+Bee
4: Elite Slime+Elite Rabby+Elite Bee+Bloomo
5: Elite Slime+Elite Rabby+Elite Bee+Elite Bloomo+Boar
6: Elite Slime+Elite Rabby+Elite Bee+Elite Bloomo+Elite Boar
#?: Do the same as above, but for each enemy in Pumpkin Woods
#?: Do the same as above, but for each enemy in the Flying Fortress
Lap 2
Either it would cycle back through lap 1, except with double enemies, or it each new wave would begin spawning random enemies together. Slime+Jumpkin+Crystal, Elite Rabby+Helloweed+Bloomo, etc.
There seems like there would be a much better way to handle an endless mode, but it's not coming to me. Also, ideally nothing in Endless Mode would drop EXP, items or cards, to avoid having it be just a 'grind everything extremely fast' mode.
