[Feedback/Feature] Story progression for multiplayer guests, keep current method as well

My title is probably not very descriptive. Basically what I mean is that although the devs are "fixing" the current design where only the host's progression is saved in multiplayer, I would like to see this current style stay as an alternative option for those who prefer it.

For example, when your friend isn't able to devote as much time to the game, you use the current method so your friend can explore the story properly later on their own without needing to create a new character for it.

The idea is that players will get the option to skip all quests they have completed, on a quest-to-quest basis (and possibly an option to just fast-forward all quests for expediency). That should fit most circumstances and give players pretty good control over what content they want to skip.
