[Gameplay] Sol-Gem Boss Not Spawning

I recently started the quest A Fare Price in Dragonbone Dunes. I had read the solution to the puzzle before the gemstone while researching a previous issue, and solved it first. I then proceeded to recover the Translation Manual and translate the puzzle text. It seems I may have done the quest out of order since I heard completion noises for the previous quest checkpoints. My quest log currently reads "Get the gemstone", but after interacting with the gemstone and running away from the boulder, I'm left in a soft lock state

Edit: Tried again after a few hours of playing around with the areas of the game that were already unlocked. It allowed me to summon the boss
