I was wondering how I got the ruby rod on my save a while back. Turns out that if anyone in your party uses cheaty item commands, it gives them to everyone playing. Or maybe only if P2-4 use it it gives it to P1 as well, not sure. Maybe P1 using it gives it to everyone, but the bug is there.
