My name is.......Tyler! However, you can call me Djspunky.

I thought I'd register here and introduce myself. I'm one of the many individuals that has been /patiently/ waiting to get into the beta for this wonderful, perfect and beautiful project called Secrets of Grindea. *cough*

Anyways, how is everybody? I'm loving the forums. XenForo is one of the new forum softwares that I've been interested in and oddly enough, this is the first time I've registered on a forum that was using it.

I'm excited to see what you guys do with this forum and with the future of the game, of course. While I haven't been here since the dawn of Secrets of Grindea, I've been a follower since about November 2012.

    Soooooo....

    *awkward silence*

    /disappears

    Welcome to the forums!

We didn't know a great deal about XenForo, just that it was a promising new challenger into the scene, and one of the cheaper alternatives currently. We knew Starbound used it for their forums, and had heard their anti-spam features were pretty fleshed out!

I must say the forum works way above expectations. The forum itself is very slick. The control panel is great. Modifying things is almost too easy, and they use a form of pseudo PHP that's very easy to grasp if you know some basic programming.

This forum skin is a modded version of Brivium Hydrogen, which is free if you keep their name and link a the bottom. I'm tempted to buy it and keep the name at the bottom to support them, because they made such a good job and it's only $30 :p

In fact, I'll do that right now.

Yeah, I've definitely heard that XenForo works wonders and is pretty reliable. I'm used to services like InvisionFree, Zetaboards, PHPBB and vBulletin.

Programming has never been my cup of tea. I had to take it in my second year of college (a mix of PHP, HTML, Javascript, JScript, SQL, and VB... we never seemed to touch any of the C languages) and no matter how hard I tried, it just didn't set with me. It's not for everybody I suppose. :)

Good idea. Premium forum skins/themes are always the best!
