Hello from the SoG composer!

Hello there! I'm Andrew Riley of Lucky Lion Studios, the guy fortunate enough to be able to write the soundtrack for Secrets of Grindea. I've also composed the soundtracks for over 50 other games on various platforms.

I live in Seattle, Washington, which I believe makes me the only person in the Western hemisphere working on SoG.

I'm obviously a big fan of video games (and their soundtracks), with my all time favorites being Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Silent Hill 2 and Shadow of the Colossus. Lately I've been playing Persona 4 Golden on the PSVita and Catherine on the PS3. And Secrets of Grindea on the PC, of course!

Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) is the man who inspired me to start writing my own music, and I've been lucky enough to meet the man twice. Other big influences are Yasunori Mitsuda and Yoko Shimomura.

Aside from games, I'm a hardcore fan of combat sports. Most notably MMA, but also boxing, kickboxing and BJJ. My cat has more friends than I do (Ash - Ripley's Kitten), which I hope says more about him than it does about me. I'm also a beer enthusiast. So to recap, beer, combat sports, video games and cats. Definitely not in that order, though.

When I'm not listening to video game music, I listen to artists like Beirut, Owen Pallett, David Bowie, Radiohead, Cloud Cult, and Andrew Bird. Unless I'm at the gym. Then it's Wu-Tang forever!

I genuinely love playing Secrets of Grindea, and often find myself getting wrecked in Arcade Mode when I'm supposed to be working on another game's soundtrack. "Research," I call it.

"Taking candy from a baby," the merciless bees and boars call it.

You can hit me up here or on the Lucky Lion Studios Twitter, Facebook or Soundcloud pages!

Haha, welcome to the forums dude :D

Our sound crew is turning out to have lots of secret talents! Yes, running a facebook page about a cat that gets more likes than SoG counts as a talent I think :p

Now I'm just waiting for RareSound to show up and being a world renowned playwright in his spare time...
