Housing Door Problem

So when I try to add new rooms to my house the door is always highlighted red, to indicate I can't place it. I cleared the whole floor but it still would not work. Does anyone have any advice for how to fix this?

Show screenshot, hard to tell from the description. One possibility I can think of is that you are trying to make new room next to entrance.

This was resolved on Discord, and the issue was selecting the Door tool instead of the New tool!
