Minor crafting system changes.

After you pick up your sword and shield, this is in your crafting menu.

Which is horribly confusing if you're new, because the game is implying you can make these, but you have no idea where any of it is. You're not getting that bamboo for a long, long time.

I suggest not adding new recipes to the menu until you actually arrive in the area you could get them at first availability. Enter Mt. Bloom, Bag pops up saying he's added some new recipes (Mt. Bloom's) to the crafting menu.

An additional change:

Spinsect Armor - Fur Vest into Slime Armor, Slime Armor into Spinsect Armor. The only reason you make the Fur Vest is to make the Slime Armor. Going back to grind Rabbys for this makes it seem like simple busywork, whereas turning the Slime Armor into Spinsect Armor creates a crafting armor chain that continues throughout the game, constantly being improved. Possibly turning into a legendary armor at the end, your reward for keeping a crafting chain going.

I kinda wish there were more 'crafting chain' items, but most seem one-offs. :p

Or unlock recipes when you get one of ingredients fo the first time.

That's the current system. It's why you see the Bamboo Sword and the Thornworm Shield recipes 2 minutes into the game.

You shouldn't see a recipe for something unless you're actually able to acquire all the monster drops for it.

Ah, then maybe unlock it when you have all the materials? Makes no sense to tie crafting progression to discovered areas alone.

And when you get all materials to unlock a recipe, maybe a pop up could appear that new recipe was unlocked and when you go to crafting menu, new recipes are highlighted for the first time (and the menu would have an indicator, similar to skills menu when you have spare points).
