NG+ Adjacent: Save Copying To An Empty Slot

The more news I read about NG+, the more uncertain I grow whether it'll be an experience I'll consider to be a fitting continuation of my adventure. In less pretentious word salad terms, I feel like I might not like it very much.

But then again I will give it a chance, if nothing else, then at least out of curiosity for seeing more content in what has become one of my favorite games of all time.

And what really concerns me is the potential "messiness" of NG+. I like my save files in their current orderly and complete fashion. Everything is explored, everyone is helped and/or slaughtered, every card and item is gathered, the house furniture is beautifully arranged, etc. I love them for it. And I don't really want to effectively erase them only to be replaced with this chaotic whirlpool of infinite perpetuality.

So I was thinking, some NG+ games actually allow you to copy your save file over to a new slot so you can have your old completed playthrough and then an NG+ version of that same playthrough just existing separately. So by any chance would you be willing to consider a request to add such a feature to the save file selection UI? I know I can fiddle around with manual save backups, but if it's not too much of a bother to implement, the convenience would be greatly appreciated.
