One of the more charming things about Earthbound was that, throughout the game, you could stumble across a man who took a photograph of your party at certain moments. Then, at the end of the game, these photographs rolled past showing your adventure through the game.
It might be nice to have something similar in SoG, but without the cameraman leaping out of nowhere and breaking the fourth wall.
Just using the auto-screenshot function like the camera lady during the festival already provides, if the option is toggled on in the menu.
Then at the end of the game the players could go through the folder and see the highlights across the course of their journey, what friends were with them in co-op, what they were wearing, what pets they were using, etc.
Places like:
- Start of game, before talking to dad.
- Beating Vilya.
- Beating Gigaslime. (Story, not memory room/challenges)
- The statue in Pumpkin Woods earning it's wings.
- Before entering the temple.
- Beating Phaseman.
etc
