Pet vanity items?

I get the feeling this might already be planned for much farther in the game's development, but would pet vanity items be at all possible?

If you can't outright equip your hat items onto your pets as vanity equippables, just to further make them stand out, perhaps you could obtain pet vanity items as rewards?

Like a Slime Halo, Rabby Horns, Jackolantern Crown, etc

Uhm if i get it right. You mean cosmetic items?
I think that could be nice Holy Rabbit. Hope that is possible with not too much effort, because i really like the idea.

Maybee those pets need some other purpose than just the stats, something like to play with them or competitions like running etc, like the chaos in Sonic Adventure.
Altough i really like the idea of cosmetic pet items
