So, Evergrind has a potion seller 10 steps down from the teleport plate. One that you can teleport to from anywhere in the world. So the potion seller in Tai Ming is a little... unusual, but I figured it was to flesh out the market, maybe establish potions have been around quite a while?
Apparently there's going to be a potion master in the harbor town too, though. But you can teleport to Remedi from anywhere, sooo...
Maybe these excess potion masters should have a purpose? One where they can actually turn a profit on their business.
Option 1: Enhancement!
These potion sellers will offer to sell you upgrades to (certain, not you health potion, you're fine enough
) existing potions. Examples,
Crit Potion: Now offers a small increase to CritDMG as well.
Bounty Potion: Bonus increased drop rate of crafting items.
Gold Potion: Health becomes wealth. Gain extra gold on enemy death if you're at full HP.
Damage Potion: The first skill or spell you use after drinking this potion gains an extra boost of damage.
Gale Potion: The first skill or spell you use after drinking this potion will animate twice as fast. (If applicable)
Option 2: Adjustment!
They will offer to enhance a single potion bottle of yours to synergize better with buff potions. Your choice if you accept it or not. Maybe these are permanent, depending on what you choose?
Candlewax: Better to burn out, man. Buff potion effects (Not Health, Archer, EP, etc) in this bottle are more effective, but have a shorter duration.
Molasses: Buff potion effects in this bottle are less effective, but last longer.
Quicksilver: Buff potions in this bottle reset to 20-50%? after usage, but no longer regenerate passively and require active enemy damage to refill.
Frostlily: Buff potions in this bottle last longer and are more effective... but now only regenerate passively. Attacking enemies will not speed it up.
Dustbunny Soot: Buff potions in this bottle last longer and are more effective... but you're now blinded for 5-10 seconds after drinking the potion.
