Sorry if this seems obvious but I am having trouble figuring out how the pre-ordering works. If I pre-order it now, will I have to wait until the game is done to play it? Or will I get to play the Beta, right way? It's a bit confusing because usually pre-ordering means you have to wait until the release, but it's also confusing how it says "instant Beta access". Is the beta going to be on Steam? This was probably clarified already but the FAQ didn't help me that much for this question.

I'm 90% sure that you can't upgrade your purchase. If you want a higher tier you have to buy it seperatly.

Its all about funding the devs in this preorder tier thing, so you can only buy a tier and if you want a higher tier later on rebuy it, because it is funding
they just want to encourage people to fund them by awarding a fund with special gifts, so the people which are throwing much more money at the game getting more in touch with the creation process of it.
So chose an amount which you think the devs deserved for the game and buy it
I think the more the crowd spends the more awesome this game can become because money equals time+work in this case

We're gonna send a mail to the Humble Bundle guys (who manage our widgets) and ask if there's any way to achieve this properly. There has been a couple of requests for it, so can't hurt to ask! I'll report back to this thread when we know more.

I think they have said something about that earlier. I might remember wrong but I think it's because they don't want everyone to buy the game, get disappointed because the game is not finished and then everyone is sad. And there might have been something about getting less money from Steam or something else that caused "problems" with Steam. This is not a very good description but I think it's somewhat helpful.

Does this technically mean i can buy the bundle and use the steam key myself and give my baby brother the DRM version ?

If thats the case, will we be able to play online with eachother ?

It's not possible right now, as the DRM-free version runs a different patch than the version on Steam. Both games need to run the same patch for co-op to work!

finally the open beta is here and i have my copy . also i would like to ask will there be a way to reset skill pts. later on i found i am finding more magic atk. items now after the green slime and i selected on a number of skills and would like redo for a character more speculaized.

I'm sure you have read the FAQ so this won't be anything new to you but you can type /respec in the chat (press enter to bring the chat up) to reset all your skillpoints.
