[Solved] Bad variables in dialogues

Translating the game, I've come to the arcade mode part (RogueLike in dialogues) and in the dialogues of Luigi and Plott they are some variables shown as (BAD ID). Perhaps it doesn't show anything in-game also?

Hmm... that's weird! It shows up like that for me, too. It's probably related to failing to load the misc texts for some reason, I suspect (what it does is take a word or phrase from the Misc Text tool).

I'll look into it! You can either keep the part that gives the (BAD ID) error, or just write the name of the thing that should be there (usually a place or an enemy, if you use Fetch Dialogue you can probably see what it's supposed to say by looking at the text ID)

I've actually moved away from using that system myself, just typing out the names of things, but translators should still be able to use them if they want so as I said I'll have a look at it!

Yes, I put the names directly. I mention it in case shows badly in-game also.

And I take the opportunity to say that the native info in the suite doesn't work (at least in Spanish), just update the English title/description.

Alright, so I've updated the tools now, and hopefully the misc text references should work again! I had updated the file format without updating the importer in the dialogue tool.

I've also made it possible for the native title and description to be uploaded properly! Apparently Steam didn't have that functionality back when I made the tools, but I added the fields in preparation... and then I forgot to update to a new Steam version when the feature finally came!

So yeah, if you update the translation tools both these things should work now. Thanks for the report!

Ah, I remember those! They showed as bad ID's in the translation tool, but they were actually fine ingame. But it's nice, that they work in both now.
