I just had a friend buy the game so we can play together, i hadn't played in a few weeks but now it refuses to start. When i launch the game it just immediately says "The game is deaded". I've tried the following
Running as admin,
Reinstalling the game,
Going into the appdata and deleting config.txt,
verifying game cache in steam,
running steam as an admin then launching game,
None of it seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Well this is embarrassing. I took the advice from http://secretsofgrindea.com/forum/index.php?threads/not-launching.145/ To redownload the Microsoft XNA framework and the other program. I already had them but setting it to repair seems to have fixed the problem. Hope this might help anyone else having this same problem.
