[Visual] Protect glow stops showing for caster?

I'm host, I cast Protect and the glow shows around my co-op partner and I.

For the first chunk of Arcade this remains the same, but somewhere along the line when I cast Protect the visual glow only stays around them, not me.

Theory: When you unlock Silver Rank Protect, there's some bug that doesn't show the glow around yourself in multiplayer? Or at least from Flying Fortress in Arcade onwards.

Confirmed: Protect and Haste lose their glow, no matter the charge level, once you get them up to Silver Charge.
