Ancient Ruins?

Anyone know what this is here for? I couldn't find anything about it on the wiki or in the forums. Are we really never finding out what they're there for?

The wiki hasn't been updated for a long time. This area is where the 4th dungeon will be found but for now we can't do anything here.

And it wasn't said that the dungeon will be here. This area is just connected with it somehow.
