Downgrading Your NG+ Layer

Do you think it'd be possible at all to somehow dynamically choose the NG+ layer of your character from the ones you've already unlocked? I am primarily concerned about coop. What if I'm on layer +5, but my purely hypothetical mates range between +2 and +4, all on different levels, and we all want to play an NG+ run rogether? Then after we come to a consensus on the layer, we'd have to wait for the stragglers to spend like 30 hours per layer on getting the agreed-upon level. By that time those lads might not even be in the mood to play anympre after having their fill. But if we picked a layer everybody has unlocked, and had everyone higher than that simply temporarily bump down to that layer, we'd all be able to play together.

We'll have to see and evaluate how these things feel before deciding whether an option like this seems necessary! Depending on how crazy things go per loop, to play a loop above or below your character's might feel perfectly fine (or not)

Ye, I keep offering all this nonsense in regards to a feature that's barely in the planning stages, but I keep thinking "Well what if I wait for it to be done and complete and then the foundation of this feature becomes too convoluted and hardly modifyable for my suggestions to be worth implementing?"

So I just keep making these as "something to consider when the right time comes". Like maybe 1 loop won't make a difference, but 5 will, or 10, and maybe it just so happens that I experience another "episode" and binge this game for another 300 hours, while my hypothetical friend binges it only for 70 hours, with him being on +4 while I'm on +12, and so on and so forth. Hopefully these posts aren't too much of a bother.
