[Gameplay] Issue with GUN-D4M

I am not sure if it is technically a bug or just something really annoying, but on the gamepad it is nearly impossible to jump from his shoulders forcing the player to take the shock damage

You have to run onto them, then keep running down, rather that pressing "attack" like I used to.

Holy shit, thank you Lord! The pretty sure the tutorial for it says you have to hit A instead of just walking down. That worked though. Should I take this thread down or keep it up for people in the future? (Edit) I beat him the very next attempt, it turns out not taking 120 free damage is good.
