I've thought about this but this could be a major change in the game also wich would be "proficiency skills/levels" Woodcutting,mining,alchemy,cooking, carpentry etc. This will also relate to this post of your functional house / upgrading your house...

i thought about something and why not have your own house? After you crafted all these items they are just regular misc items and seems that they have no worth anymore. A special map made for building your house and not to mention you can expand these land by doing quests and gathering items...

Anybody know how you can enter the winter area there is just a cliff btw it nothing else :/ cant figure it out how to get passed the cliff somebody help please xD
