When I played the Winter boss in the Temple of Seasons, I found that my frosty friend spell did not take damage from most of his attacks, this happened a while ago so I don't know which attack's in particular but I know most of them missed because I saw him walk through the attacks and he didn't take damage from any except for a few and one of the attacks that misses is the snowstorm attack (the one where a whole bunch of snow flies in a straight line across the screen).

He only takes damage from the fists as they hit the ground. I think it's intended, the spells he doesn't get hurt by are all "ice spells".

I think it also has to do with that you can't control him so in that fight where you have to stand in certain spots to not take damage he would just run in and die instantly so he would become useless after 5 seconds of fighting. XD
