[Gameplay] Arcade mode - Hiding behind a rock

I'm playing through arcade mode right now - specifically though the elite enemies challenge - and I've found an interesting little exploit. I was literally forced into a corner - well behind a rock at least - and I have discovered that the enemies cannot hit me here. I can still hit them though!

Edit: I have been able to reproduce this in other rooms - hiding behind a rock next to an exit allows you to hide from enemies but still hurt them.

Shhh, don't let them know that I actually can't play Arcade mode. This is probably the only reason I haven't lost all my hair in anger while doing that quest. I really, really hope that it is intentional and that it will be kept in the game.

Pretty sure its intentional, or else it would have been patched by now since its pretty ovbious that you would do this in arcade mode.
