I don't think your shield will survive the whole puzzle and if I'm not mistaken you're playing on Normal so the bombs deal less damage.

Do you need any special shield and Def to make it all the way through? Is it possible to make it through with just the normal gear you get from the shop?

I don't remember exactly, but I'm usually at factory with Phaseman gear and Crystal Shield. On Normal mode, you have enough holes to let shield regenerate a bit. The shield won't break until end of puzzle or not at all.

In that case I need to use this more in my speedruns. It's a more consistent way to not take damage.
