Luke needs to sharpen his axe

It says in the enemy codex that Yetis have 3000 health. I know that's only a base for easy mode and isn't consistent on hard, but Luke hit the Yeti outside the Toy Factory for 2699 (at least in my beastmode playthrough,) which wouldn't be a 1-hit Kill. Either the yeti saw his swish blonde hair and dropped its guard or there's an inconsistency here.

Or beastmode lowered the Yetis health to take pity on me, but I'm two levels higher than it ._.
