Skill Challenges.

SoG has a ton of clever, intricate mechanics that would normally make for great puzzle or challenge tools. Uuunfortunately they're all uniquely tied to the combat system. Let's try and change that, shall we?

Skill Challenges: Accessed from Master Ji, puzzle tower, or a computer terminal somewhere that lets you 'simulate' these builds without 'actually' using them as your character. When you enter these challenges you're given a unique character with a specific talent/skill/gear/conditional loadout, unrelated to your actual character.

Flamethrower

Special conditions:
1000 EP.
EP does not regen.
Movement speed is 0 when not using Gold Charge Flamethrower.

Challenge:
You are on a long horizontal road filled with enemies of gradually increasing difficulty. You must burn through every single enemy on your way to the ending, dodging their attacks while flying.

Static Touch

Special Conditions:

All attacks except for maximum charge Static Touch cubes do 0 damage.

Challenge:

Wave after wave of enemies spawn around you. You must maintain maximum level Static Touch cubes to kill them before they kill you.

Summon Plant

Special Conditions:

All attacks except for Summon Plant do 0 damage.
EP does not regen.
You gain EP when hitting enemies with wand projectiles, or when enemies die.
Summoned plants do not vanish.
The maximum level plant has a cooldown before he can be relocated, or possibly doesn't move the plants around him.

Challenge:

Enemies spawn in one of four lanes approaching a crystal in the middle of the room to try and attack it. You summon plants (small or shooters) at strategic positions to try and kill them before they reach it.

Stasis

Special Conditions:

You have 1 HP.
Your attacks do 0 damage.

Challenge:

An elite boar is in the room with you, along with an elite bee, an elite ghosty and elite statue. You must statis each enemy in turn for the boar to hit them with a charge while they are frozen, without being hit yourself.

Weapon Toss

Special Conditions:

You have only enough EP to cast Gold Charge Toss once, it does not regenerate.
Your attacks beyond WT do 0 damage.
You have 1 EP.

Challenge:

The four corners of the room each have arrows pointing in the direction of the three other corners of the room. You need only to tap in the direction of those arrows to disappear and reappear in those corners. You have to kill several waves of enemies with your blade constantly whipping back and forth towards you as you teleport between the four corners, without letting it actually reach you.
