Where or how to get a pet

Hey guys,

this might seem to be a stupid question to some of you, but I was always taught that the most stupid questions are those you don't ask... so here I go:

Where or how do I get my pet? Is it a part of the main quest?

West of the "main city" dont know the name of the city at the moment and cant look ingame because I am not at home.

You have to go to the west in the city. Under the Arena

This is not part of the main quest. You have to leave Evergrinbg City to the left/west and go into the big farm house. Talk to the man behind the counter and he gives you a special carrot (, and later a special apple). Euip said carrot and go near a rabby and use the carrot. Now a mini game appears which after you beat it gives you a rabby as a pet.
There are 3 pets and for each you need a different item to attract.
golden carrot --> rabby --> from the farm owner
juicy apple --> slime --> from the farm owner
candy cane --> jumpkin --> from the witch
