[Gameplay] Phasing Plates in Mt Bloom don't work the same way as the plates in the Flying Fortress

In Mt Bloom you can only use the plate if you face in the same direction as the arrow but in the Flying Fortress (and all the other places before Mt Bloom) we could look to the sides of the arrow's direction and still use the plate. So, what makes these plates so special compared to all the others?

The fact that there's stuff you might want to smash next to the plates, and it feels way worse to want to destroy some crystals and getting whisked away against your will than to have to look towards the direction of the phase plates!

Another change with these plates is that most of them will automatically change the direction of your character as you land on them, which makes you not having to worry that much about it!

Ok, so it is intentional. I didn't really look much around if there was anything to smash. I was too focused on the puzzles.
