Today (actually two days ago once this is posted!) was one of those days where I've been all over the place workwise! I've done quite a bunch of smaller (and bigger) tasks, fixing things here and there. ~Vilya~

Entrance Hall Decorations

Yesterday I mentioned that I was working on improving the entrance room of the dungeon a bit, as we felt it looked a little plain. While we can't do much about the actual floor of the area due to enemies that will appear here, we still have walls that can be decorated. ~Vilya~

Decorating Another Cave, Part 1

Time to decorate another cave! This time there's some quite big areas that need to be decorated, so I'll split this post in two parts :)


Above you can see the basics of the cave, that was completed quite a while back. I've added floors, walls, doors, some very basic greenery and a few cave dweller-props that are basically variations of the Frostling camp items from Seasonne!

Temple of Seasons Boss Sneak-Peek

As you might have guessed, given we've uploaded everything except the boss room to the Frontline beta, our main focus right now is prototyping the boss of the temple. We've made basic versions of a bunch of different attacks, and we're currently playing around with different patterns using what we have.~Vilya~

The Desert - Early Prop Testing

Time to get back to that desert we talked about a while back! Like I mentioned in those posts, I was gonna start making more concepts and try creating a few props for the desert, so we'd get colors and everything like that right.



Above you can see two of the concepts/super-rough sketches I made for the area. Actually, they're basically the same, but since I felt like green made the desert feel extremely generic, we decided to try out a concept using red for (not-so-)greenery and stuff.~Vilya~

Bags and amulets don't talk. But if they do, we can as well have red cacti :p Looks like desert will be full of... redery.

But there's more interesting thing to talk about: after seeing phase plates littered in places like caves or winterland, I wonder how casual people travel there if they didn't defeat Phaseman?

Wall Testing & Icon Galore

After yesterday's post I thought the rest of the week would involve creating walls for the desert area... Instead, I had to take a break almost immediately to create backgrounds and enemy icons for the codex section of the game!

If you play the beta, you might have seen these already! The reason for that is that I make these blog posts one week ahead of time, and usually the beta isn't updated quick enough for the posts to become irrelevant. This time, however, I know that Teddy has already updated the beta so you might have spotted these already. ~Vilya~
